the haps

so here's what it is: after a little over 2 years of training, mike is now a certified professional controller~! celebration ensues. of course, this now means that he will most likely have more regular midnight shifts, like the one he has this evening, and i will be scared and all alone in my bed tonight. i am a light sleeper as it is, i don't need to worry about every creak and rumble that i hear. i am having a tequila/pink lemonade and watching pretty woman to calm my anxiety.

the other transactions include 4 more days of college for me and 13 days until closing on our house. predictably, Mike is getting really sentimental about leaving the apartment. we had a walkabout the grounds today and he got all nostalgic about what he'll miss about the place. sweet really. here's hoping he'll get jazzed about the new house and not cry every day about bristol station.

additionally, my dad had his 300th win as a high school baseball coach. i guess all those years of living across the street from the ballpark have really paid off. way to go, coach.

and that's the news for now. stay tuned for the great job hunt, 08.

The wiffle ball field in your parents' backyard is one of the 5 coolest things I've seen in my entire life.

1. you're right, it is sweet.

2. what brought up that memory? the 300 win story or the part about mike's nostalgia that made you think of your nostalgia?
